Your Incredible Service

My Pop, maternal uncle, and Dad served in the Army during WWII. We have photos of their time in the service of their country and memories of the stores they told. Pop told of his time in the Pacific as communication personnel and the instance he stared down a large reptile while in a hole, Uncle Kent (affectionately know as "Un Kent") retrieved the dead from the battlefield, and my Dad noted while in France some Europeans thought Black people had tails...hmmm. They all served during a time when segregation was the norm, but that did not stop them from serving all people in the United States of America. As we honor veterans today and everyday, I am also proud to mention my recently deceased older brother Darius served in the Air Force. Thank you all!!!
